Strategic Partnership to Provide Silicon Nitride Spinal Interbody Fusion Devices

Shanghai, December 30, 2015 – BoTEC announced the execution of the strategic partnership with Amedica Corporation (Nasdaq:AMDA) on spine inter-body fusion device that is developed on silicon nitride ceramics as a biomaterial platform. This cooperation will help BoTEC, one of the fastest orthopedic companies in China, to provide innovating solution and optimize the service to spine surgeons and patients.

With the promising collaboration between the two fast growing companies, BoTEC is now providing the spinal inter-body fusion device which is made of proprietary micro-composite silicon nitride biomaterial - a breakthrough ceramic containing the world's first inherent nano-surface biotechnology. This unique biomaterial is also hydrophilic to attract both osteoblasts and physiologic proteins to ensure reliable osseointegration, and its surface biochemistry inhibits bacterial biofilm adhesion.

Along with the launch of PINE III Percutaneous Pedical Screw System and PINE IV Posterior Spine System in 2016, BoTEC will offer an optimized posterior TL solution to cover various surgical approaches, MIS or Open, TLIF or PLIF etc.
